The Korean U-21 soccer team lost to Saudi Arabia in its first match at the Maurice Rivello International Friendly

Tournament held in France.

The Korean national team, led by coach Choi Jae-young of Sunmoon University, lost 0-2 to the Saudi U-21 team in the first

match of Group A held in Vitrolles, France on the 3rd (local time).

The Korean starting team conceded two goals to Saudi Arabia in the 35th minute of the second half, one to Abdullah Zayed

and the other to Faisal Al-Asmari in added 합법 time.

The Maurice Rivello International Friendly Tournament, formerly known as the 'Toulon Cup', this year saw the

participation of teams aged 20-23 from 10 countries, including Korea.

After being divided into two groups and playing group matches, the top team from each group advances to the finals to

compete for the championship, while the other teams play in ranking matches.

As the competition period is longer than the A-match period set by the Federation Internationale de Football Association

(FIFA), the Korea Football Association has formed a team for this competition with professional players and excellent

university players who have agreed to be drafted by their clubs. The coaching staff consists of university coaches and full-

time coaches of the Football Association.

Korea is in Group A with France, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, and Cote d'Ivoire, and will play its second match against Cote

d'Ivoire on the 5th.

Group B features Japan, Indonesia, Italy, Ukraine, and Panama.
